Katie Totten earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Psychology. She continued her education at the University of South Carolina, earning a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Katie began her clinical career working with individuals struggling with substance abuse, severe and persistent mental illness, and with a history of homelessness. She has also served young adults with a variety of mental health and adjustment concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma history, and eating disorders. Katie has a passion for working with families and treating individuals with eating disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns. She has treated clients at the residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. She uses DBT, ACT, and CBT modalities most frequently.
