Megan Proctor, MS, LCMHC
Megan Proctor earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a double major in Psychology and Sociology. She continued her education at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, earning a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Before working with families and treating individuals with eating disorders, Megan administered child-centered play therapy to children working through trauma. She also served adults and adolescents struggling with substance abuse and other co-occurring mental health disorders. She has treated clients in the inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient levels of care.
In her spare time, Megan enjoys being with her family and friends, traveling, and getting lost in a good book. Clients have described Megan as warm, knowledgeable, and understanding. She views therapy as an introspective opportunity to tap into our authentic, best selves.
