Mindful Movement

Carolina House proudly serves all genders 17 and older in North and South Carolina struggling with eating disorders as well as other co-occurring disorders.

Staff members work with clients to incorporate mindful awareness into their daily lives. Increased awareness is facilitated through classes comprised both of didactic exposure to the concepts of mindfulness, as well as the practice of various techniques. Mindfulness techniques will be continually reinforced during regularly scheduled yoga classes. In addition, clients will have time each day to practice these techniques individually. Mindfulness is a powerful tool to increase awareness, thus providing the opportunity for clients to make more conscious choices regarding their eating habits.
